meet our stylist: chris lyons

Chris is our salon manager and master stylist. She grew up surrounded by the industry with a mother who was a hairstylist and now has 17 years of personal experience in the business. From working with the Calgary Board of Education as a cosmetology instructor to continuing education, fashion shows, haircuts at the mustard seed, celebrity clients, and much more, Chris has done it all!

Chris has the superpower of connecting with people. When you sit in her chair, you will feel heard, validated and appreciated. She has a passion for studying psychology, and often her clients feel like their hair appointments are also mini-therapy sessions. 

When asked what she does for fun, she usually goes along with fun things others want to do. She loves her friends and her family and loves it even more when she can support them and see them happy. Besides all that, she loves a good project. Landscaping, home improvements, or learning a new skill are all things that keep her busy and fulfilled when she's not doing something hair related.

Out of the 17 years she has been in the business, Frida has been her favourite workplace. She loves the work culture, the positive energy, the support she receives, the aesthetic, and the list goes on and on. She specializes in blonding and extension services but has a very well-rounded skill set from her years as an educator. She has always been passionate about the hair industry, and we don't see that changing anytime soon.
